lspci -v | grep -i audio If you see Realtek ALCxxx with Waves MaxxAudio mentioned in Windows, you have the hardware. Install alsa-tools-gui and run: sudo apt install easyeffects
pactl info | grep "Server Name" If you see PipeWire , good. If not, consider switching (distro dependent). Sometimes the raw hardware needs a mixer fix. good. If not
