Note: Your school’s memo may vary slightly – always check your specific task. The memo is not a secret – ask your teacher to see it before the due date. Use it as a checklist. If you can say “yes” to every bullet point in the memo, you’re heading for an A. Parents : Help your child read the memo like a rubric – it shows exactly where marks live. Teachers : Share key pages of the memo with students during the project, not just after marking. Need a sample memo PDF? Check your school’s Moodle/Google Classroom, or search “Grade 9 Technology Mini PAT Term 1 Memorandum 2025” for provincial examples (WCED, GDE, etc.).

It’s written for learners, parents, and teachers to understand what the memo expects, how marks are allocated, and common mistakes to avoid. If you’re in Grade 9 Technology, you’ve probably just finished (or are about to start) your Mini Practical Assessment Task (PAT) for Term 1. The Mini PAT counts towards your school-based assessment, and understanding the memorandum is the key to scoring well.
