Hulk defeats the Red King’s champion and incites a rebellion. Leading the gladiators and oppressed slaves, he overthrows the Red King. In the comics, Hulk becomes king, marries the queen Caiera, and has a child — but the animated film alters the ending significantly.

Plot Summary (Spoiler-Heavy) The film opens with the Hulk causing havoc in the American Southwest. The Illuminati (Iron Man, Mr. Fantastic, Doctor Strange, and Black Bolt) deem him too dangerous for Earth. They trick him aboard a shuttle and launch him into space toward a peaceful, uninhabited planet.

However, the shuttle goes through a wormhole and crash-lands on — a brutal, war-torn planet ruled by the tyrannical Red King . The Hulk is captured, fitted with an obedience disk (which can shock or kill him if he disobeys), and forced into gladiatorial combat.

In the arena, Hulk refuses to fight at first but eventually battles monstrous creatures and fellow gladiators: (a Kronan stone warrior), Miek (a bug-like insectoid), Elloe Kaifi (a rebel noblewoman), and Hiroim (a shadow priest). They become his “Warbound” — comrades bonded by blood and loyalty.
