The Pre-Regional Mathematical Olympiad (PRMO) is the first stage of the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) selection process in India. Conducted by the Mathematics Teachers’ Association (MTA) and later by IAPT, it tests mathematical aptitude, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills. The exam consists of 30 multiple-choice questions (later reduced to 20–30), to be solved in 3 hours without a calculator.
To excel in PRMO, aspirants need rigorous practice with non-routine problems. One of the most recommended resources is – a book (or a set of compiled materials) designed to cover the entire syllabus, including number theory, geometry, combinatorics, and algebra. pathfinder prmo pdf
