You can change the style the forum displays by selecting your preferred style at the bottom left of the site.
We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links

It sounds like you’re referring to the common (but often fake or risky) “10 MB highly compressed” versions of Microsoft Office 2007 circulating on torrent and file-sharing sites. Instead of endorsing that (since Office 2007 is no longer supported and such compressed versions may contain malware), I’ll offer if Microsoft were to revisit it for low-resource or legacy systems.
