1. Objective and Scope This report provides a structured overview of a typical Manual de Direito Processual Civil – a comprehensive textbook used by Brazilian law students, legal practitioners, and candidates for public examinations ( concursos ). The manual systematically presents the law of civil procedure as governed by the Brazilian Code of Civil Procedure of 2015 (Lei nº 13.105/2015 – Novo CPC ), which replaced the 1973 code.
