Make Some Noise 【CERTIFIED - 2027】

Too often, we silence ourselves before we even begin. We edit the email three times to soften the ask. We whisper our dreams to a trusted friend instead of announcing them to the world. We keep our opinions to ourselves at the meeting, afraid of rocking the boat.

Think about the sounds that have actually moved history. The chants of protestors. The roar of a stadium. The impassioned speech. The first chord of a revolution. All of it was loud. All of it risked being messy. All of it was noise. Make Some Noise

But here’s the truth:

So go ahead. Turn up the music. Speak your mind. Laugh too loud. Cheer for your friends. Make your mark. Make a ruckus. Too often, we silence ourselves before we even begin

It’s the sound of a starter pistol at the beginning of a race. It’s the cheer from the stands when your team scores. It’s the loud, off-key singing in the car with the windows down. It’s the yes! you shout when an idea finally clicks. That kind of noise is life. We keep our opinions to ourselves at the

We spend a lot of our lives trying to be quiet. Shhh in the library. Indoor voices in the restaurant. Don’t slam the door. Keep the volume down. There is a time and place for silence, no doubt. But there is also a time to crank the dial.

If you have something to say, say it. If you have a gift to share, share it loudly. If you believe in a cause, bang the drum. The world is full of background static—don’t add to it. Be the signal.

I am currently the pastor of Bear Point FWB Church in Sesser, IL. I previously served for 17 years as the associate bilingual pastor at Northwest Community Church in Chicago. My wife, Kayla, and I have been married over 9 years and have a 5-year-old son, Liam Erasmus, and a two-year-old, Bo Tyndale. I have been a student at Welch College in Nashville and at Moody Theological Seminary in Chicago. I love The USC (the real one in SC, not the other one in CA), Seinfeld, John 3:30, Chick-fil-A, Dumb and Dumber, the book of Job, preaching and teaching, and arguing about sports.
