The most important of these is —a limitless, clean energy source drawn from the quantum vacuum. Hellyer argued that the secret government has suppressed this technology for decades because it cannot be metered or monopolized. Without oil and gas revenues, the global power structure would collapse. He wrote: “The suppression of free energy is the greatest crime in the history of humanity.”

But technology alone is not enough. Hellyer, a lifelong Christian who embraced metaphysical spirituality, insisted that the light also represents a shift in human consciousness. He believed that the UFO phenomenon is a “cosmic teaching” designed to force us to see ourselves as one species on a single, fragile planet.
