1. Introduction Kutrala Kuravanji is a renowned Kuravanji Natakam (a genre of Tamil dance drama) composed by Tirikuda Rasappa Kavirayar in the 18th century CE. It is set in the backdrop of the Kutralanathar Temple (Courtallam) and the scenic waterfalls of the Kutrala Hills (in present-day Tenkasi district, Tamil Nadu).
