Just got HOI3 – any tips for a first-time player?

I’ve been playing Hearts of Iron IV for a while, but I decided to go back and try HOI3 because I keep hearing it has deeper command structure and logistics. Installed it with Their Finest Hour and Semper Fi expansions. iron hearts 3
First impressions: wow, the OOB (order of battle) is intense. I like the chain of command, but I’m already lost trying to figure out how to assign HQs properly. Also, the AI control for theaters seems useful, but I’m not sure when to hand over control vs. micromanage. Just got HOI3 – any tips for a first-time player
