As the download bar filled, a strange peace settled over him. He had spent two hours hunting for a unicorn to save maybe $5. In that time, he could have flown a 747 from JFK to Heathrow.
Code accepted.
And so began his descent.
Invalid code.
Marco stared at the checkout screen. The price for GSX Pro , the legendary ground services add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator, glared back at him: $34.99 . It wasn't a fortune, but for a virtual air marshall who’d just spent his monthly hobby budget on a new Honeycomb yoke, it might as well have been a million.
It was perfect.
Marco closed all the tabs. He closed the coupon sites, the Discord, the graveyard of dead codes. He opened his wallet, took out his credit card, and paid the full $34.99.
He spent the next hour searching his email archives for any past purchase from FSDreamTeam. Nothing. Then he checked his Humble Bundle, his SimMarket account, his Contrail shop. Zero.
Defeated, he almost clicked the "Buy Now" button at full price. But a final, desperate idea struck him. He went to the official FSDT forum and found a thread titled “Support – Missing Coupon for Loyalty.”
The first page was a graveyard. RetailMeNot offered a faded badge claiming a "15% off FSDT Summer Sale" – from 2023. CouponBirds showed a field of grey, dead links. One code, was circled in green, supposedly verified yesterday. His heart fluttered. He copied it, pasted it into the FSDT Installer’s coupon field, and clicked "Apply."
It was brutal. It was honest. And oddly, it was liberating.
