Leo didn't buy FIFA 16.

Frustrated, he shut off his Xbox 360. But the console didn't shut down. The green ring blinked slowly. The screen flickered to black, then to a strange, low-poly loading screen he had never seen before.

He still keeps it in the garage. Sometimes, late at night, he hears the Xbox power brick hum that low G note.

The game launched itself.

And his eyes… his eyes now tracked the Xbox’s webcam, no matter where Leo moved in the room.

After the final whistle, the screen returned to normal. The FIFA 15 menu was back. The rain had stopped outside. Leo didn't buy FIFA 16

He could change everything. Not just boots and shirts. Everything . The sliders went beyond 0-100. He could change Grimsby’s height to 9 feet. He could set his weight to "0" (the game labeled it Sub-Atomic ). He could change his preferred foot to "None."
