Jenny is a teacher. She works at a language school in London. She is from the UK, but her students are from all over the world: Spain, Japan, Brazil, and Poland. Every morning, she opens her red folder. Inside is her English File Elementary book. "Open your books to page 10," she says. "Today is the present simple."

Rob is another student. He is from Australia, but he lives in London now. He is a journalist. He works for a small newspaper. Rob has a problem. He can’t find his keys. "Where are my keys?" he asks Jenny. "Are they in your bag?" she asks. "No, they aren't," says Rob.
One student, Paul, is from Rome. He is a chef in an Italian restaurant. He works at night, so he is often tired in the morning. "I don't like coffee," Paul says. "I like tea. But I don't like grammar!"
