The house is quiet. The storm has passed. In their small, simple room, Abhishek sits on the edge of the bed, head in his hands. Suman enters with a glass of water.
"Forgery?" Abhishek whispers, turning to look at his father, then at Alka. "No. That's impossible. Maa (referring to Rukmini) would never allow—"
Alka tries to argue, but Chandni grabs her arm, her face pale. For once, the daughter is more terrified than the mother. They scurry away like rats caught in light.
Chandrakant’s voice booms, startling a servant in the corner. "Mohan! Repeat what you told me. In front of everyone." ek vivah aisa bhi episode 36
Abhishek finally loses his cool. He steps between Chandni and his father. "You will not disrespect my father in his own house. Get out. Both of you. Tonight."
Mohan, the loyal family secretary, adjusts his glasses, his face pale. He looks at Chandrakant, then at the stunned faces of Abhishek, Suman, Rakhi, and finally at the newest members—Chandni and her mother, Alka.
A brief flashback shows Abhishek and Suman sitting on the floor of their small room. Suman hands him a crumpled, yellowed paper. Abhishek reads it, his knuckles turning white. He looks at Suman, his eyes filled with a mixture of admiration and shame. The house is quiet
Chandni’s mouth falls open. "You... you spy!"
"Let him speak, Abhishek," Chandrakant cuts him off, his eyes not leaving Mohan's face.
Just as the shouting escalates, Suman walks to the center of the courtyard. She kneels down at Chandrakant’s feet, touching them. Suman enters with a glass of water
"You are a mother," he says, looking at Alka. "You have a daughter. How could you teach her to trap my grandson? To make Chandni seduce Abhishek?"
Mohan takes a breath. "Sir, the deed to the ancestral textile mill, the one you transferred to Mrs. Alka Verma’s name last month... the signatures are not yours."
"Your mother didn't know," Chandrakant says, his voice cracking with age and pain. "I was a fool. A lonely, old fool." He finally looks at Alka. "You told me your husband’s debts would be paid if I signed over the mill. That you would give me companionship in my old age. But you never loved me. You loved the Suryavanshi vault."
Chandrakant nods, bewildered.
"Abhishek ji... the family is safe now."
