Beyond The Boundary Light Novel - Ending

The statue did not move. But the thread pulsed.

In her closet, hidden behind old shoes, is a journal she doesn’t remember writing. The handwriting is hers, but the words describe a life she never lived: arguments with a perverted classmate, stolen glances in a clubroom, a promise to kill each other one day. The last page simply says:

She felt an inexplicable ache in her chest—as if she had lost something precious and just found it again, but couldn’t name what. Her fingers twitched toward his. He didn’t pull away. The statue did not move

Every morning, she finds a small cup of coffee waiting on her windowsill. She doesn’t know who leaves it. She’s tried staying awake all night, setting traps, asking neighbors. Nothing. The coffee is always warm. Always black with one sugar—her preference, though she never told anyone.

But he kept his hand there.

“Maybe you were,” he says.

No hesitation.

“If you’re reading this, I’m gone. But I left you something. Look under the floorboard.”
