The author claims to be a woman named Elara, who died in 1987. She writes that she has been "stuck in the frequency of the living" for nearly forty years, not as a poltergeist or a shadow, but as a data ghost. A resident of the "digital in-between."

And this morning, I found a new PDF on my desktop. I didn’t download it. It’s called thank_you_for_remembering.pdf . When I zoomed in, the pixels didn’t quite
